Any
of you who have been receiving our newsletter for a few
years have probably noticed that I haven't sent many in
the last few months. To be very honest, I've considered
letting it go completely. After much consideration, I've
decided to change the way we communicate with customers.
A
couple of years ago I started using Facebook, just like
most of you probably have. As time has passed, I've found
that most of what was being sent in the monthly newsletter
was much easier to post to our fan page, and there was the
added bonus of the opportunity to interact with customers.

We
will still use the newsletter from time to send out special
sale flyers. However, monthly specials, vacation and holiday
closings, general announcements, sales, and occasional contests
can be found on our Facebook
page. Over the years, I've received quite a few emails
from customers who told me they enjoyed my couple of paragraphs
of personal chat included in the newsletter. For those of
you who find my personal time interesting (although I don't
know why, thank you, I feel honored!), I publish a personal
blog which feeds directly to the fan page. Instead of just
a couple of paragraphs, you'll get to see my vacations,
gardening, cooking, knitting, some occasional "rants",
and whatever else I'm in the mood to share.
Just
yesterday we posted a special sale that will end Sunday
night. This sale was not announced on the website or anywhere
else, and only our Facebook fans received the sale information.
